Director's Note
In an age where we measure the worth of a man by what he builds or buys, we have neglected the measurement of happiness that comes from obtaining our base human needs, like food, shelter, love, and maybe a little frolicking. Like a child visiting the circus, we have confused spectacle for something spectacular. We are led to believe that in order to be extraordinary our faces and names must be known and we must acquire medals of recognition or hold high-ranking positions. To settle down has acquired a negative reputation as lacking in worth. I ask you, our spectators, to find something spectacular in the ordinary. Sing the song of the unsung heroes: the single mothers, the men who work countless hours to feed their families, the college student who works two jobs and maintains their grades. Enter the world of Pippin and experience illusion, magic, spectacle, and the journey of one young man's quest for contentment.

Show Synopsis
A troupe of circus performers desperate for an audience inducts the newest member of their troupe to tell the tale of Prince Pippin, son of Charlemagne, King of the Holy Roman Empire. Pippin is the story of Prince Pippin's quest to find personal significance. Pippin traverses through the trials of war, love, and politics before finding himself out amongst the peasants, away from the wealth and privilege of royal life. A magical, mystical, and entertaining tale that weighs the question, "How do you measure the worth of man?"
